Biography

Karin Viard is a French actress. Born in Rouen, she trained in drama at the conservatory there before taking classes in Paris. She made her screen debut in Tatie Danielle (1990) and appeared as Mademoiselle Plusse in Delicatessen (1991).

Viard has worked in both comedies and dramas, with credits including La Haine (1995), The Bélier Family (2014) and Polisse (2011). She has won three César Awards: Best Actress for Haut les cœurs! (1999) and Best Supporting Actress for Summer Things (2002) and Little Tickles (2018). She served on the jury at the 2003 Cannes Film Festival.
