Biography
Kathryn Himoff is an American film and television editor. She grew up in New York City and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston University in fine arts and theatre. She studied acting with Lee Strasberg and Stella Adler, and worked as an assistant director on the ABC News programme 20/20 before moving to Los Angeles.
Himoff began her editing career in the early 1990s as an assistant on films including Home Alone (1990). She has edited more than 35 productions since becoming a lead editor in 1992, with credits including House of 1000 Corpses (2003), The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005), Appaloosa (2008), Every Day (2018) and an episode of The Office (2005). She has also worked on series such as The Strain (2014) and The Man in the High Castle (2015).
Himoff is a member of the American Cinema Editors and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
