Biography
Katie Aselton is an American actress, director and producer. Born in Milbridge, Maine, she attended Boston University School of Communications for two years and later studied for two years at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York.
She began her career in independent films associated with the mumblecore movement, including work with the Duplass brothers. Aselton is known for her role as Jenny in the FX series The League (2009–2015) and as Amy Haller in the FX series Legion (2017–2019). She made her feature directorial debut with The Freebie (2010), which she also wrote and starred in, and later directed Black Rock (2012). She is married to actor and filmmaker Mark Duplass.
