Biography
Katy Carmichael is an English actress, director and producer. Born in Liverpool, she studied at the University of Bristol and made her professional acting debut at 18 in the sitcom Bread. She first gained wider recognition for her role as Twist Morgan in the Channel 4 sitcom Spaced (1999–2001).
Her other notable television roles include Lucy Barlow in Coronation Street (2002–2003) and Melissa Ryan in Waterloo Road. She has also appeared in films including Christopher Robin (2018) and Misbehaviour (2020), and in series such as The Miniaturist (2017) and The Outlaws (2021). As a director and producer, her work includes the award-winning stage production Mayday Mayday.
