Biography
Katsu Hisamura, also credited as Kazu Hisamura, is a Japanese production designer and art director. He is known for his work with Studio Ghibli, including as art director on Porco Rosso (1992).
Born on 4 December 1958 in Aichi Prefecture, Hisamura began as a background artist on Castle in the Sky (1986) and worked as assistant art director on Grave of the Fireflies (1988) and Only Yesterday (1991). He later contributed background art to Whisper of the Heart (1995) and The Tale of the Princess Kaguya (2013).
