Biography
Kenneth Welsh was a Canadian actor. Born in Edmonton, Alberta, he trained at the National Theatre School of Canada and spent several years with the Stratford Shakespeare Festival before moving to New York.
He appeared in over 300 stage, film and television productions. Welsh was known for his role as Windom Earle in Twin Peaks (1990), Vice President Becker in The Day After Tomorrow (2004), Dr. Hepburn in The Aviator (2004) and Dr. Jeff Wagner in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007). He portrayed numerous historical figures and made guest appearances in series including The X-Files and The Expanse.
Welsh received a Genie Award for Best Supporting Actor for Margaret's Museum (1995) and was appointed a Member of the Order of Canada in 2003. He died in 2022.
