Biography
Kerry Walker is an Australian actress. Born in Sydney in 1948, she trained at the National Institute of Dramatic Art, graduating in 1974, and has maintained a career in theatre and screen roles.
She played Aunt Morag in The Piano (1993). Other film credits include Bliss (1985), Cosi (1996), Moulin Rouge! (2001) as Marie, Australia (2008) as Myrtle Allsop, and voice work in Babe (1995). Television appearances include Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries (2013) as Ida Voigt.
Walker received three nominations for the AFI Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role, for Bliss (1985), Twelfth Night (1986) and The Piano (1993). She was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 1994 for services to the performing arts.
