Biography
Kieran O'Brien is an English actor. Born on 23 November 1973 in Oldham, Lancashire, he began acting as a child and was the star of the BBC series Gruey by the age of 15. He appeared in two roles in Coronation Street and had a recurring part in Children's Ward before becoming a regular cast member in the detective series Cracker (1993–1995) as Mark Fitzgerald, the son of the central character; he reprised the role in the 2006 special Cracker: Nine Eleven.
O'Brien made his feature film debut in Virtual Sexuality (1999). His other screen credits include Band of Brothers (2001) as Allen E. Vest, 24 Hour Party People (2002) as Nathan, 9 Songs (2004) as Matt, the Goal! films (2005, 2007) as Hughie McGowan, HolbyBlue (2007–2008) as PC Robert Clifton, Years and Years (2019), Ted Lasso (2020) as James Tartt, and Andor (2022) as Pegla.
