Biography
Kira Snyder is a writer and producer working in television and film. She studied drama with an emphasis on playwriting at college and later worked as a game writer, designer and producer for companies including Microsoft and Electronic Arts, contributing to the alternate-reality game Majestic.
She entered television through the Warner Bros. Television Writers’ Workshop and has written episodes of The 100 (2014–2016), Eureka, Alphas and Moonlight. Her feature-film credit includes the screenplay for Pacific Rim: Uprising (2018). She has also written for For All Mankind.
Snyder worked on The Handmaid's Tale (2017–2021) as a writer, teleplay writer and producer, rising to executive producer. For the series she received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series in 2017, along with Writers Guild of America awards and other nominations.
