Biography
Kirsty Cameron is a New Zealand costume designer, production designer, writer and film director. She began working in short films and art installations before moving into feature films.
Her costume design credits include Whale Rider (2003), In My Father's Den (2004), Perfect Creature (2007), Slow West (2015), The Power of the Dog (2021) and Tenzing (2026). She has also served as production designer on several projects and has written and directed short films.
Cameron has won two New Zealand Film and Television Awards for costume design, for Whale Rider and Perfect Creature, and received further nominations and awards for her work on films including The Orator and Slow West.
