Biography
Lanny Flaherty (27 July 1942 – 18 February 2024) was an American character actor. Born in Pontotoc, Mississippi, he graduated from Pontotoc High School and attended the University of Southern Mississippi. He later moved to New York City, where he worked in theatre and film.
Flaherty appeared in numerous films, including Miller's Crossing (1990) as Terry, Natural Born Killers (1994) as Earl, Waterworld (1995) as Trader, Signs (2002) as Mr. Nathan, Men in Black 3 (2012) as Obadiah Price and Cold in July (2014) as Jack Crow. His television credits include roles in White Collar and Lonesome Dove. He also performed on Broadway and wrote plays.
Flaherty died in New York City following surgery.
