Biography
Laura Neal is a British television writer. She began writing professionally while studying at the University of Bristol, where she won the Hull Truck Prize in 2007 and was selected for schemes including the Paines Plough Future Perfect and the Royal Court Writers Programme. In 2008 her play Killing Jonathan was shortlisted for the Rod Hall and Theatre 503 awards. She has written for theatre companies including the Old Vic, Paines Plough and Clean Break.
Her television credits include episodes of Secret Diary of a Call Girl (2011), My Mad Fat Diary (2014), Tatau (2015) and Turn Up Charlie (2019). She wrote an episode of the first series of Sex Education (2019) and contributed episodes to the third series of Killing Eve (2020). Neal served as lead writer and executive producer on the fourth series of Killing Eve (2022).
