Biography
Leib Lensky was an actor born on 15 December 1903 in Poland. He died on 2 May 1991 in New York City.
He appeared in numerous films and television programmes, including roles as Mr Lang in The Silence of the Lambs (1991), Father Andre in Love and Death (1975), the Wheelchair Patient in The Verdict (1982) and Frenchy in Something Wild (1986). Other credits include Christmas Evil (1980), Hester Street (1975) and episodes of Kojak and The Equalizer.
Lensky was a Yiddish actor who performed in Paris theatres during a 17-year residence there and appeared in Jean Renoir's Grand Illusion. He later worked in English-language stage, film and television productions in New York, and performed on the Hebrew stage in Israel.
