Biography
Lena Endre is a Swedish actress. She was born on 8 July 1955 in Lidingö and grew up in Härnösand. She trained at the Stockholm Academy of the Performing Arts, graduating in 1986, and became a member of the ensemble at the Royal Dramatic Theatre (Dramaten). Her early breakthrough came in the Swedish television series Varuhuset and Lorry in the 1980s.
Endre is known for her roles as Erika Berger in the Millennium film trilogy (2009), Marianne in Faithless (2000), and Mrs Solstad in The Master (2012). She has appeared in numerous Swedish and Norwegian productions, including The Best Intentions (1992) and With Every Heartbeat (2011). In 2025 she played Ingrid Berger in Sentimental Value.
She has received multiple Guldbagge awards, including for best supporting actress and best leading actress.
