Biography
Linus Roache is an English actor. He was born on 1 February 1964 in Manchester and is the son of actor William Roache. He began acting as a child with appearances in Coronation Street and later worked extensively in theatre before returning to screen roles in the 1990s.
His film credits include Priest (1994), The Wings of the Dove (1997), Pandaemonium (2000), The Chronicles of Riddick (2004), Batman Begins (2005) as Thomas Wayne, Non-Stop (2014) and Mandy (2018). On television he has played Michael Cutter in Law & Order and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, King Ecbert in Vikings and David Wellington in Homeland.
Roache received a Golden Globe nomination for RFK (2002), a Satellite Award for The Gathering Storm (2002) and a Peabody Award for Fellow Travelers (2023). He won the Evening Standard British Film Award for Best Actor for Pandaemonium.
