Biography
Lisa Ann Walter is an American actress, comedian and television producer. She was born on 3 August 1963 in Silver Spring, Maryland, and holds a BFA from the Catholic University of America. She began in stand-up comedy before creating and starring in the ABC sitcom Life's Work (1996–1997).
Walter is known for her role as Chessy in The Parent Trap (1998) and as Debbie in Bruce Almighty (2003). Since 2021 she has played Melissa Schemmenti in the ABC series Abbott Elementary, for which she shared a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.
