Biography

Liza Marshall is an English film and television producer. She was educated at Wadham College, Oxford, and began her career as a script reader and editor. She produced at the BBC before becoming head of drama at Channel 4 and later heading Scott Free Productions UK.

In 2017 Marshall founded Hera Pictures. She is best known for producing the 2025 film Hamnet, which received the BAFTA Award for Outstanding British Film and the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture – Drama; she was also nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture. Other credits include the films Before I Go to Sleep (2014), Welcome to the Punch (2013) and Boy A (2007), and the series Taboo (2017) and Red Riding (2009).

Marshall is married to actor Mark Strong.
