Biography

Lloyd Ahern II is an American cinematographer. Born on 7 June 1942 in Los Angeles, he is the son of cinematographer Lloyd Ahern. He began his career as a camera operator on films and television series in the 1970s before becoming a director of photography in the 1980s.

His credits as director of photography include the feature films Geronimo: An American Legend (1993), Wild Bill (1995), Last Man Standing (1996), Undisputed (2002), American Wedding (2003), Bullet to the Head (2012) and Dead for a Dollar (2022), as well as episodes of the series Deadwood (2004). He has also contributed additional photography to films such as Jurassic Park (1993), Broken Arrow (1996) and The X-Files (1998).

A member of the American Society of Cinematographers, Ahern shared a Bronze Wrangler Award for Geronimo: An American Legend at the Western Heritage Awards in 1994. He has directed episodes of the series Army Wives.
