Biography
Lois Chiles is an American actress and former fashion model. Born Lois Cleveland Chiles on 15 April 1947 in Houston, Texas, she attended the University of Texas at Austin and Finch College in New York City.
She began modelling with the Wilhelmina Agency in New York before turning to acting. Her film roles include The Way We Were (1973), The Great Gatsby (1974), Death on the Nile (1978), Moonraker (1979) and Broadcast News (1987), in which she played Jennifer Mack. On television she appeared as Holly Harwood in Dallas (1982–1983).
Chiles later taught acting at the University of Houston. She was married to investor Richard Gilder from 2005 until his death in 2020.
