Biography
Louise Ford is a British film editor. She was born in Nantwich, Cheshire. After a media studies degree at the Polytechnic of Central London, she worked as a journalist and production editor for publications including The Sunday Times, Q and Cosmopolitan. She later moved to New York, completed a short editing course and became assistant to editor Michael Taylor.
Ford met director Robert Eggers in 2007 while editing his short film The Tell-Tale Heart. Their subsequent feature collaborations include The Witch (2015), The Lighthouse (2019), The Northman (2022) and Nosferatu (2024). Other credits include Don't Breathe (2016), Thoroughbreds (2017), Wildlife (2018), Bad Education (2019) and Black Phone 2 (2025). She has received several award nominations for her editing work, including an Independent Spirit Award nomination for The Lighthouse.
