Biography
Louise Lasser was an American actress born in New York City on 11 April 1939. She died in Manhattan on 6 July 2026.
She began her screen career in early films by Woody Allen, to whom she was married from 1966 to 1970, appearing in Take the Money and Run (1969), Bananas (1971) and Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex But Were Afraid to Ask (1972). She achieved wider recognition as the title character in the satirical soap opera Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman* (1976–1977).
Later credits include Stardust Memories (1980), Happiness (1998) as Mona Jordan, Mystery Men (1999), Requiem for a Dream (2000) and Frankenhooker (1990).
