Biography

Ludovica Ferrario is an Italian production designer and art director. She holds a degree in architecture from the University of Rome Roma Tre and began working in film as an art director on Italian productions before moving into production design.

Her credits include production design on Abbas Kiarostami’s Certified Copy (2010), Paolo Sorrentino’s Youth (2015), The Young Pope (2016) and The New Pope (2020), Danny Boyle’s Trust (2018), and Giorgio Diritti’s Hidden Away (2020). She has also contributed to art department work on Sorrentino’s The Great Beauty (2013) and Wim Wenders’ Palermo Shooting (2008).

Ferrario won the David di Donatello for Best Production Design for Hidden Away (2021) and received a Primetime Emmy nomination for The Young Pope (2017), along with further David di Donatello and Nastro d’Argento nominations.
