Biography

Lukas Strebel is a Swiss cinematographer. He was born on 10 March 1951 in Mägenwil and trained as a fashion and advertising photographer in Zurich. He has worked as a director of photography on Swiss and international film and television productions since 1980.

Strebel’s credits include the BBC miniseries Little Dorrit (2008) and Wallander (2010–2015), the Netflix anthology series Black Mirror (2016–2019), the television film Elizabeth Is Missing (2019), and the feature Remainder (2015). He received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Cinematography for a Miniseries or Movie for Little Dorrit in 2009 and a nomination for the Swiss Film Award for Best Cinematography for Dora or the Sexual Neuroses of Our Parents (2015).
