Biography
Lycia Naff is an American actress, dancer and journalist. Born on 29 August 1962 in Las Vegas, Nevada, she began her career as a dancer in the television series Fame (1982) before taking acting roles.
Her film credits include Dixie in Lethal Weapon (1987) and Mary in Total Recall (1990). She played Ensign Sonya Gomez in two episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation (1989) and later voiced Captain Sonya Gomez in Star Trek: Lower Decks (2021).
Naff received a Daytime Emmy nomination for her performance in the television film The Perfect Date (1990). She later studied journalism and has worked as a reporter for publications including the Miami Herald and People; in 2014 she interviewed Barbara Bowman about the Bill Cosby sexual assault cases.
