Biography
Lyman Ward is a Canadian actor. He was born on 21 June 1941 in Saint John, New Brunswick, and graduated from St. Malachy's Memorial High School in 1959 and St. Thomas University in 1963.
Ward is best known for playing Tom Bueller in Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986). He has appeared in Creature (1985), A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2: Freddy's Revenge (1985), Planes, Trains and Automobiles (1987), Independence Day (1996) and Not Another Teen Movie (2001). His television credits include the first episode of Laverne & Shirley (1976), The Wonder Years, Monk and The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.
He was cast as Jim Walsh in the pilot of Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990) but the role was recast. Ward married actress Cindy Pickett, his co-star in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, in 1986; they later divorced. He published the novel Fortune's Tide in 2016.
