Biography
Lynzee Klingman is an American film editor. She began her career editing documentaries in New York, including Hearts and Minds (1974), which won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature. She later moved into feature films.
Klingman received an Academy Award nomination and a BAFTA Award for her work on One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975), which she edited with Richard Chew and Sheldon Kahn. She has since edited more than thirty features, including repeated collaborations with Miloš Forman on Hair (1979) and Man on the Moon (1999), with Danny DeVito on The War of the Roses (1989) and Matilda (1996), and with Jodie Foster on Little Man Tate (1991). She has taught editing at the University of Southern California and received a career achievement award from the American Cinema Editors in 2021.
Born in Chicago, Klingman studied at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and Columbia University. She is married to director Richard Pearce.
