Biography

Madge Blake (née Cummings) was an American character actress. She began studying acting at the Pasadena Playhouse at the age of 50 and appeared in numerous films and television series from the late 1940s until her death.

She is known for recurring television roles including Margaret Mondello on Leave It to Beaver (1958–1960), Flora MacMichael on The Real McCoys (1957–1963), and Aunt Harriet Cooper on Batman (1966–1968), a part she also played in the 1966 feature film. Earlier film credits include uncredited appearances in An American in Paris (1951) and Singin' in the Rain (1952).

Blake was a first cousin of actor Milburn Stone.
