Biography
Maev Beaty is a Canadian actor, writer and voice artist. She grew up in Kingston, Ontario, and studied drama at the University of Toronto. She is best known for her extensive stage work, including eight seasons at the Stratford Festival, and has originated roles in more than two dozen Canadian premieres.
Her screen credits include Mouthpiece (2018), Nurses (2021), Dream Scenario (2023) as Naomi, Beau Is Afraid (2023) as Angel and Play Narrator, and Black Phone 2 (2025) as Barbara. She has also provided voice work for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora (2023). Beaty is a three-time Dora Mavor Moore Award winner and has received a Toronto Theatre Critics Award.
She is married to theatre director Alan Dilworth.
