Biography
Manu Bennett is a New Zealand actor. Born Jonathan Manu Bennett on 10 October 1969 in Rotorua, he was raised mainly in Australia and is of Māori descent.
He began acting in Australian television in the 1990s. Bennett is known for his role as Crixus in the series Spartacus (2010–2013), Azog the Defiler in The Hobbit trilogy (2012–2014), and Slade Wilson / Deathstroke in Arrow (2012–2020). Other credits include 30 Days of Night (2007) and The Shannara Chronicles (2016).
