Biography
Mara LePere-Schloop is an American production designer and art director. She holds a master’s degree in architecture from Tulane University in New Orleans, where she has lived for approximately twenty years, and began working in film after Hurricane Katrina.
Her credits as production designer include the series Mrs. America (2020), Pachinko (2022), Interview with the Vampire (2022–2024) and The Alienist (2018), as well as the features Split (2016) and Elvis & Nixon (2016). Earlier art direction work encompasses Django Unchained (2012), True Detective (2014) and Terminator Genisys (2015).
LePere-Schloop has received Emmy nominations for production design on The Alienist and art direction on True Detective, and Art Directors Guild awards for Pachinko, True Detective and The Alienist.
