Biography

Marco Costa is an Italian film editor. Born in Milan in 1992, he studied media at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan and film editing at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome.

He began his professional career as second assistant editor to Walter Fasano on Luca Guadagnino's Suspiria (2018). Guadagnino subsequently entrusted him with editing the HBO series We Are Who We Are (2020) when Costa was 27. Their collaboration has continued on the films Bones and All (2022), Challengers (2024), Queer (2024) and After the Hunt (2025).

For his work on Challengers, Costa received nominations for the Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Editing and the Eddie Award for Best Edited Comedy Feature.
