Biography
Maren Louise Käehne is a Danish screenwriter. She was born in Svendborg and graduated as a screenwriter from the National Film School of Denmark in 2009.
She wrote episodes for the series Borgen (2013) and The Bridge (2013). Her feature film credits include the screenplay for Long Story Short (2015), which won a Bodil Award for best screenplay, Shelley (2016), Queen of Hearts (2019) and co-writing A Perfectly Normal Family (2020). She also contributed to the series Blackwater (2023).
Käehne has received awards including the Bodil, Robert and Nordisk Råd film prizes, often in collaboration with director May el-Toukhy.
