Biography

Margot Wilson is an Australian costume designer. She trained at East Sydney College, graduating with a Certificate in Fashion in 1977.

Wilson’s credits include costume design on Terrence Malick’s The Thin Red Line (1998). She has worked repeatedly with director John Hillcoat on The Proposition (2005), for which she won an AFI Award, The Road (2009) and Lawless (2012). Other notable films are Lantana (2001), The Dressmaker (2015), for which she received an AACTA Award, The Nightingale (2018) and Triple 9 (2016). She has also designed for television series including Total Control and Shantaram.
