Biography
Mark Beesley is a New Zealand director, producer and writer. He began directing television in the 1990s and has worked extensively on fantasy and drama series.
Beesley directed ten episodes of Xena: Warrior Princess (1995) and episodes of Hercules: The Legendary Journeys (1995). He later directed nine episodes of Legend of the Seeker (2008), for which he also served as producer on thirty episodes, and episodes of Spartacus (2010), Ash vs Evil Dead (2015) and The Brokenwood Mysteries (2014). Other credits include Outrageous Fortune (2005), The Almighty Johnsons (2011) and Power Rangers: Mystic Force (2006).
He won the New Zealand Screen Award for Best Achievement in Directing – Drama/Comedy Programme for The Insiders Guide to Happiness (2004) and the Qantas Television Award for Best Director (Drama) for Outrageous Fortune.
