Biography
T.J. Scott is a Canadian film and television director, screenwriter and producer. He began his career as a stunt performer and actor before moving into directing, with early credits including the feature film TC 2000 (1993). He directed multiple episodes of Xena: Warrior Princess (1995) and worked on the related series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys.
Scott has directed episodes of numerous series including Spartacus (2010), Gotham (2014), Orphan Black (2013), The Strain (2014), Black Sails (2014), Bates Motel (2013), Constantine (2014), Star Trek: Discovery (2017) and Doom Patrol (2019). He won a Canadian Screen Award for Best Direction in a Dramatic Series for Orphan Black in 2015 and received a Gemini Award nomination for the television film Deadliest Sea (2009). He studied at York University and has also worked as a photographer.
