Biography
Mark Mitchinson is a British-born New Zealand actor. Born on 6 July 1966 in London, England, he moved to New Zealand as a child, trained at the Guildhall School of Speech and Drama in London, and returned to New Zealand in 2002 to resume his career.
He is known for roles including Braga in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (2013) and The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014), Vambrace in Mortal Engines (2018), and Mr. Fonda in Evil Dead Rise (2023). He has also appeared in Underworld: Rise of the Lycans (2009), Spartacus (2010), Ash vs Evil Dead (2015), and The Shannara Chronicles (2016). Mitchinson won New Zealand Film and Television Awards for Best Performance in Bloodlines (2011) and Siege (2012).
