Biography
Mark Povinelli is an American actor and occasional stunt performer. Born on 9 August 1971 in Elyria, Ohio, he graduated from Miami University with a degree in mass communications and a minor in theatre acting.
His stage work includes the role of Torvald Helmer in the Mabou Mines production of A Doll's House (retitled Mabou Mines DollHouse). On screen he has appeared in films such as The Polar Express (2004), Water for Elephants (2011), Mirror Mirror (2012) and Nightmare Alley (2021) as The Major, and in television series including Modern Family, Boardwalk Empire and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Povinelli has served as president of Little People of America, an organisation advocating for people with dwarfism.
