Biography

Marshall Manesh is an Iranian-American actor. Born on 16 August 1950 in Mashhad, Iran, he moved to the United States in the mid-1970s and performed with the Persian Theater Group, touring for eight years.

His film debut was as Jamal Khaled in True Lies (1994). He has appeared in more than 100 feature films and television projects, including The Big Lebowski (1998), Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007) and Seeking a Friend for the End of the World (2012). On television he is known for the recurring role of Ranjit on How I Met Your Mother (2005–2014), as well as appearances in Will & Grace, Scrubs and Boston Legal.
