Biography

Mary Treen (born Mary Louise Summers) was an American film and television actress. She began her career as a dancer in Fanchon and Marco revues before entering films in the mid-1930s. She appeared in dozens of films over five decades, often in supporting roles as working women or comic relief characters.

Her film credits include Pat in Kitty Foyle (1940) and Cousin Tilly in It's a Wonderful Life (1946). On television she had recurring roles as Emily Dodger in the sitcom Willy (1954–1955) and as Hilda in The Joey Bishop Show (1962–1965). She was married to Herbert C. Pearson from 1944 until his death in 1965. Treen died of cancer in Newport Beach, California, in 1989.
