Biography
Matt Lipsey is a British television and film director. He began directing comedy series in the mid-1990s and has worked on productions including Baby Cow sitcoms and Hartswood Films series such as Supernova, The Cup and Jekyll.
His credits include directing episodes of Little Britain (2003–2006), all 14 episodes of Psychoville (2009–2011), Inside No. 9 (2014–2021), Intelligence (2020–2021) and Ted Lasso (2020–). He has also directed television films and specials including The Boy in the Dress (2014), Gangsta Granny (2013) and Billionaire Boy (2016).
In 2005 Lipsey received a British Academy Television Award for directing the second series of Little Britain. In 2021 he won a BAFTA for his work on Inside No. 9.
