Biography
Matthew Pitts, also credited as Matt Pitts, is an American television writer. He graduated from Saint Anselm College and began his career as an assistant to J.J. Abrams on the films Cloverfield (2008) and Star Trek (2009).
Pitts worked on the series Fringe (2008) from its first season, initially as Abrams' assistant before becoming a writer on episodes across seasons two to four and serving as story editor. He later wrote for Revolution (2012), on which he also served as executive story editor and co-producer, as well as Westworld (2016), Impulse (2018), Zoo (2015) and The Messengers (2015). He wrote the script for the film Quicksand (2023) and contributed to the Fringe: Tales from the Fringe comic series.
