Biography

Matthew Button is a British production designer and art director. Born on 6 August 1970 in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, he began his career in the art department, working as a props dresser on Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) and later contributing to films including Ready Player One (2018, as Matt Button).

He is known for his production design on Loving Vincent (2017), A Lonely Place to Die (2011), Cockneys vs Zombies (2012), Final Score (2018), Slaughterhouse Rulez (2018) and the series Criminal Record (2024). Button has received a BAFTA nomination along with three wins and six nominations in total. He has also served as Head of Production Design at the London Film School.
