Biography
Matthew Yang King is an American actor and voice actor born in New York City on 6 May 1974. He studied acting at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and toured the United States in the musical Titanic before settling in Los Angeles.
King voiced Alan, Lutz and the Earth Pruner in Pixar’s Elemental (2023). He is also known for voicing Appa and Momo in the Netflix series Avatar: The Last Airbender (2024–), Marty Mantle in Riverdale (2017–2022), and roles in Lucifer (2016), Criminal Minds (2005) and Grimm (2011). His television work includes recurring parts as Dr Matt Lin in Strong Medicine and Agent Matt Li in Numb3rs, as well as appearances in 24. He has provided additional voices for Love, Death & Robots (2019), Lightyear (2022) and the Mortal Kombat video game series.
