Biography
Mattias Nyberg is a London-based cinematographer and member of the British Society of Cinematographers, on whose Board of Governors he serves. Originally from Sweden, he holds British and Swedish passports and previously played professional ice hockey in Sweden's Championship division.
His television credits as director of photography include Inside No. 9 (2020), Two Weeks to Live (2020), War of the Worlds (2021), Britannia, Pure, Detectorists (2017), Bancroft (2017) and The League of Gentlemen. He was lead director of photography on the Amazon Prime series The Girlfriend (2025).
Nyberg was nominated for a BAFTA Television Craft Award for Best Scripted Comedy for his work on Catastrophe (2019).
