Biography
Maurissa Tancharoen is an American writer, producer and actress. She attended Occidental College, where she studied English and theatre and wrote award-winning plays.
She began her television career writing on the sitcom Oliver Beene and co-created the MTV series Dancelife. With her husband Jed Whedon she co-wrote Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog (2008). She served as a writer and story editor on Dollhouse (2009–2010), Drop Dead Diva (2009) and Spartacus: Gods of the Arena (2011). Tancharoen and Whedon co-created, showran and executive-produced Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013–2020).
Her brother Kevin Tancharoen is a film director.
