Biography
Melanie Joy Mayron (born 20 October 1952) is an American actress and director. She trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and the Actors Studio.
Mayron is best known for playing photographer Melissa Steadman on the series thirtysomething (1987–1991), for which she won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 1989. She also directed episodes of the series. Her film acting credits include Girlfriends (1978).
As a director, Mayron has worked on numerous television series, including The Larry Sanders Show (1992), Dawson's Creek (1998), Pretty Little Liars (2010), Jane the Virgin (2014), GLOW (2017) and SEAL Team (2017). Her feature directing credits include The Baby-Sitters Club (1995) and Snapshots (2018).
