Biography
Melissa Blake is an American television writer and producer. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in screenwriting from Loyola Marymount University. After working in post-production, she joined Renaissance Pictures as an executive assistant and began writing for its syndicated series, including episodes of Xena: Warrior Princess, Cleopatra 2525 and Jack of All Trades.
She has collaborated with her sister, writer Joy Blake, on several series. Their joint credits include Kevin Hill, Night Stalker, Heroes, Ghost Whisperer and Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior. Blake has also written for Sleepy Hollow, Wicked City, One Mississippi, October Faction and The Wilds, and served as a producer on multiple programmes.
In 2011 she began teaching in the graduate screenwriting and television producing programmes at Loyola Marymount University. She was previously married to producer Roberto Orci.
