Biography
Melissa Rosenberg is an American screenwriter, television writer and producer. Born on 28 August 1962 in Marin County, California, she studied dance and theatre at Bennington College before earning a master's degree in film and television producing from the University of Southern California.
She wrote for series including The O.C. (2003) before scripting the film Step Up (2006). From 2006 to 2009 she served as head writer and later executive producer on Dexter. She wrote the screenplays for the Twilight film series (2008–2012) and created the Netflix series Marvel's Jessica Jones (2015).
Rosenberg has won a Peabody Award and received Emmy and Writers Guild of America Award nominations. She is married to director Lev L. Spiro.
