Biography
Melissa Walker is a costume designer whose credits include PEN15 (2019–2021) and Jay and Silent Bob Reboot (2019). She holds a BA in Costume Design and History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and studied fashion at Lorenzo di Medici in Florence, Italy.
She began her career in theatre, working under William Ivey Long, before moving into fabric design and sustainable clothing in Los Angeles. Walker progressed through wardrobe roles as seamstress and supervisor, collaborating with designers including Deb Scott, Mark Bridges and Christine Wada.
Her film work encompasses The Peanut Butter Falcon (2019), Malcolm & Marie (2021) and further projects with Kevin Smith. For PEN15, she sourced early-2000s period clothing through thrifting and eBay, and created a sustainable capsule collection tied to the series.
