Biography

Menhaj Huda is a British film and television director and producer, born in Bangladesh on 20 March 1967. He moved to the United Kingdom as a child and grew up in London. After graduating from the University of Oxford with a degree in engineering, he began working in television as an editor before moving into directing.

His early directing credits include the 1993 Channel 4 series Hypnosis and the 1999 short film Jump Boy. He directed episodes of the 1999 series Queer as Folk and its 2000 sequel. Huda directed and produced the feature film Kidulthood (2006), written by Noel Clarke, which won the Douglas Hickox Award at the 2006 British Independent Film Awards. Other credits include Is Harry on the Boat? (2001), West 10 LDN (2008) and Everywhere and Nowhere (2011).

Later work includes episodes of series such as The Flash (2014), Batwoman (2019), Charmed (2018) and The Winchesters (2022), as well as the films Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance (2018) and Heist 88 (2023).
